Super Saturdays. School Year 2008-2009. Spend an exciting, fun filled Saturday at the Space Center! Campers will be go on board one of our simulators for a Non-Stop Five-Hour EdVenture!
Each EdVenture places the campers in exciting stories that emphasize team work, listening, cooperation and problem solving skills. Campers will be surprised that learning can be so much fun, challenging and rewarding! The Super Saturday begins at Noon and ends at 5:00 P.M.

Academy Classes. School Year 2008-2009. The Space Center offers five different courses taught at different times during the school year. The Academy Classes are a great way to earn class hours toward the Space Center's ranking system. Each course is taught independent of the others and will satisfy the requirements for the applicable Boy Scout Merit Badges. To earn the merit badge homework will be necessary. The Academy Classes are open to boys and girls ages 10 to 16. Classes last 90 minutes. Students must attend all the dates listed. Classes begin at 6:30 P.M. - Aviation. Dates: January 7, 14, 21, 28 and February 4. Tuition: $20.00
- Space Exploration. Dates: April 2, 9, 23, and 30. A rocket launch will be held May 2. Tuition: $35.00 (includes rocket and motors)
- Astronomy. Dates: October 2, 9, 23, and 30. Tuition: $20.00
- Nuclear Science. Dates: October 29, November 5, 12, and 19. Tuition: $20.00
- Geology. Dates: March 5, 12, 19 and 26. Tuition: $20.00

Junior Space Flights (Ages 7-9) The Space Center offers special missions for our youngest space cadets. This program is held weekday afternoons in the Odyssey Simulator. The simulator holds seven to nine children. The Junior Mission lasts two hours. The mission places the students hundreds of years in the future aboard a starship on duty with Earth Command. The space missions are designed to teach space science concepts using drama, music, and alien encounters in an interactive, team building, problem solving atmosphere. Your child becomes a main character in an exciting, unforgettable Space EdVenture! To book a Junior Mission please visit the 'Programs' section of the web site. Overnight Camp. Summer 2009Registration Begins January 15.- All Overnight Missions October to May are reserved for schools. Public Overnight Camps begin again in June 2009.

For over 16 years the space center has been holding successful, inexpensive, and very popular overnight camps. The tradition continues this summer with new stories! Arrive at the space center between 6:45 and 7:00 pm the first night. Report to your ships to begin your mission. At 11 pm, there is a short snack break. Lights out at 11:30. The mission continues the next morning at 7:30 after a light breakfast. The camp ends at 10 am that morning. |

Arrival: 7:00 pm on day one. Departure: 6:00 pm on day 3. All meals are included. Experience all new stories and make new friends. Participate in simulated space flights in three of our five simulators. Day two, take a break with a swimming field trip and movie night chaperoned by our excellent staff. It will truly be an unforgettable experience!

Come experience our simulators and EdVentures during the day and return home to share them at night with your family and friends! Day Camp runs each day from 9 am until 2:30 pm. Bring your own lunch. This camp includes five hour flights in two of our simulators. The last day, take a trip to the Clark Planetarium in Salt Lake City. The trip includes a Hansen Star Theater Show, a 3D IMAX movie, and plenty of time to explore the incredible exhibits. |
